We are based in the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital, south of the University of Manchester, 20 minutes walk from Manchester Metropolitan University and 10 minutes walk from the University of Manchester. Easy access to the base.
The project was to make some changes to the courtyard of Lime Art Studio. The studio focuses on the mental health of medical professionals and provides some healthy activities to help people relax.
Dawn, the studio head, made several key points. First, the wall on the right hand side of the entrance gate to the courtyard may be able to do something interesting; second, she thinks that these air conditioners are very ugly and hopes to cover them up; third, the ground drain cannot be moved, which needs to be taken into account in the design.
In general, this project is not large, but it is very interesting. How to make reasonable use of this courtyard, make the maximum value of it, and help the studio complete a courtyard space in line with the intention of the studio.
