Atelier: &rchitecture

Hi! I’m Alex, I'm from North Wales and I'm an March1 student within the &rchitecture atelier here at MSA. I spent the last year at AEW Architects in Manchester and continue to work there 2 days a week alongside my Masters. There I have gained a wide range of skills and experience whilst working on retail architecture. The extremely fast paced nature of the work has helped hone my communication skills alongside time management and quality control.

Looking ahead in my career I have a keen interest in community projects, specifically spaces that serve multiple aspects of the community – something I have been able to explore through my work in the &rchitecture atelier. As an atelier we explore non-standard methods for revitalising and engaging the communities affected by our designs.

I’m looking forward to getting involved in the project with HYPE as it allows me to further explore my interests of working with individuals in the community to create something that serves them as best as possible.
