- Creating a Poster

Our poster began through a series of quick hand sketches, where we explored composition, scale and how architectural forms could sit alongside people-focused imagery. Early on we discussed colour palette carefully, choosing tones that felt both local and welcoming, drawing from familiar materials and street colours found across Wigan and Leigh.

We then brought these ideas together digitally, layering the sketches, textures and graphics into a single composition. Rather than presenting a finished architectural proposal, the poster reflects the character of the existing built environment while emphasising collaboration. The aim was to visually communicate a shared effort, showing how small contributions, conversations and actions can collectively support and strengthen the Wigan and Leigh community.
