Health and wellbeing in relation to physical and mental health is the main focus of our project, in an area where there are many people living on a very low income, who are less likely to be physically active. The area has issues with social isolation, mental health and addiction issues. Our project is supporting local residents to get involved in gardening to support mental and physical health with personalised gardening support and creative approaches, supporting local community gardening leaders to build their capacity, supporting local residents to feel more pride in their neighbourhood and to enjoy the benefits of being outdoors.
