Hi, I'm Andreea from Bucharest, Romania. I completed my undergraduate studies at the Manchester School of Architecture and have been working with Bog'Art, a construction company in my hometown, for the past year. Some projects I worked on included a military base, residential and office buildings.

Interests: heritage, interior design, landscaping

DAY 1:
Today, we welcomed the BA and MLA students, introduced the project brief and our collaborators, and kicked off a dynamic brainstorming session. The students were split into groups and began developing initial concept sketches, capturing their first impressions and creative responses to the skate park. We employed a pin-up method, where students presented their ideas, engaged with one another’s drawings, and provided constructive feedback. After the presentations, they explored the site in greater depth to better understand its scale and context, through a master planning workshop.

DAY 2:
Day 2 started strong with a visit from one of the collaborators, who came by to check on the students’ progress and share some feedback. After that, the group split in two, some worked on the site model while others focused on developing conceptual models.

DAY 4:
The students split into three groups, to create different concepts for the presentation with the collaborators on Day 5. The first group's idea related to the railway history of Alsager. The second one created an art interactive installation, while the third came up with the idea of creating a performance space.

DAY 5:
For the end of the first week, we had one of the collaborators come in to see the progress made. He had very useful feedback for each of the concepts, and guided the students towards reaching a desired output.
