After finishing my undergraduate studies, I chose to pursue a master's degree in Architecture and Adaptive Reuse to better understand the differences and connections between architectural design, and historic preservation in China and other countries. I am dedicated to respecting the value of existing buildings while introducing flexible design strategies to give them new life.I am happy to collaborate with Tameside Council and look forward to working together during Action Week to bring new energy to the area.

On Day 3, we reviewed and analysed the results of the previous day’s site visit and community interviews. We carefully discussed the feedback from local residents and combined it with the site and social observations made by the analysis team. As a result, we identified several key needs: to improve the safety and accessibility of the area, to protect key green spaces, and to create opportunities for community interaction. Based on these insights, we developed the design concept for the project. Our proposal focuses on transforming the underused car park into a multifunctional public space, including landscaped gardens, pedestrian-friendly pathways, seating areas, and community activity zones with interactive installations. The concept aims to reconnect the site with the daily life of the Droylsden community and enhance its role as a welcoming and inclusive urban space.
