Our first visit to the site was with Jack, who guided us along the scenic Heritage Trail, a 3.5-mile path that passes through the unique peat bog. Jack shared information about the peat, the bog's ecosystem, and we learned about the surrounding buildings and the lives of local residents.

Hi, I am Muye!
I am currently studying in MA Architecture and Adaptive Reuse. Before this, I studied the transformation of historic districts and urban villages in Shenzhen University, and I gained one year of practical experience in Chinese historic building restoration in research institute. I really enjoy uncovering the historical stories behind buildings, and I also love hiking and mountain climbing.
I am very excited to be part of the Lindow Moss. This peat bog is rich in history and culture and also serves as a unique space where natural ecology, architecture, and cultural heritage intersect. I look forward to exploring Lindow Moss with you, discovering both enjoyment and inspiration.

Day1-After work
After the activity, the team prepared the next-day inspection route: refine the hiking route according to the three key areas screened in the early stage, combined with satellite maps and topographic data. Inventory the equipment list and record equipment to each group, and check the communication equipment synchronously. For different tasks (site mapping, vegetation sampling, community interview), clarify the division of labor and data collection standards of members. Finally confirm the assembly time, transportation connection and backup route to ensure the efficient and safe progress of field research.
